Day 51: Regrouping and Prioritizing

Chicken Herb Sandwich at Computronics Cafe

Today was a very tiring day! Chantal and I came to work with the key to Dr. Sarah's office locked so we didn't have access to the computers or traveling reimbursment money for the study. So Chantal went back to our guest house to find the key and then she called me when she was home to ask again if I was certain that I didn't have the key. Then I realized that it was in my bookbag all this time! I asked her if she can get my debit card for me while she was at the guest house, and then she lost it on her way back to Baylor Clinic. So then Chantal and I had to go back to the guest house again to look for it and we found it in the walk way by the guest house! Chantal’s group is starting data collection at Siphofaneni Clinic, there needs to be an amendment to protocol because we are not getting enough cases and so we have to visit new clinics. I also finished editing and piloting the facility-level questionnaire downstairs, and did data entry after Dr. Preko and Dr. Sarah looked over it. Then I had a chicken herb sandwich for lunch today at Computronics Cafe. Dr. Preko talked to me about my priorities today and how I need to start studying for the GRE again as I stopped studying for it a few weeks after arriving in Swaziland. So I told him to hold me accountable for my study plan and so he will be looking at my GRE study plan tomorrow since it is a holiday (the king's father's birthday).
